e-SHE successfully convened with all public universities’ leadership and e-learning directors at the Addis International Convention Center last week. The workshop brought together nearly 300 participant including representatives from Arizona State University and Shayashone.

As the e-SHE program enters its fifth year, discussions focused on reviewing universities’ 2025 achievements, reflecting on implementation challenges, and defining strategic priorities for 2026 and beyond. The workshop also emphasized institutionalizing digital learning systems, strengthening sustainability, and enhancing leadership commitment to higher education transformation across Ethiopia.

University leaders engaged in open dialogue with the Ministry of Education, shared experiences, and discussed pathways to sustain the progress made under the e-SHE program. The event reaffirmed a shared commitment among government, universities, and partners to advance institutionalization, inclusive, resilient, and technology-enabled higher education systems in Ethiopia.
