Empowering Higher Education through e-Learning
e-Learning for Strengthening Higher Education (e-SHE) is a pioneering five-year Program implemented by the Ministry of Education in partnership with Mastercard Foundation, Arizona State University, Shayashone PLC, and the 50 Ethiopian public universities. e-SHE aims to revolutionize the landscape of higher education in Ethiopia by using digital technology. Through thoughtfully selected e-learning interventions, e-SHE empowers Ethiopian public universities to embrace a blended (online and face-to-face) learning approach, delivering dynamic and engaging education experiences powered by advanced learning management and student information systems.
Mission
The e-SHE Program demonstrates a commendable dedication to advancing the capabilities of public universities in Ethiopia, particularly in the realm of online education. Leveraging digital learning platforms, the Program aims to elevate the standards of higher education by focusing on quality, relevance, accessibility, and resilience.

e-SHE is driven by a shared vision of creating a future where every young person has access to high-quality education that equips them with the skills essential for employability and entrepreneurship.
The e-Learning for Strengthening Higher Education (e-SHE) is a multistakeholder initiative owned by the MoE, intended to boost the relevance, quality, access, and resilience of higher education in Ethiopia.
